Getting Ready for the Easter Bunny

Easter weekend was kicked off with some egg decorating. We purchased a box of dyes with loads of accessories and made neon dyes from scratch with food coloring. The neon colors were so much better than the dyes in the box. I think going forward we will just make our own - the old fashion way.

Just like last year - dying eggs was a huge hit. Everyone had fun, had their own unique eggs, and rainbow hands by the end of the day. Brynn spent hours dipping her eggs and making sure each egg was just right. Some eggs took long baths in the colors while others just went for a quick dip. I always wonder what is going through Brynn’s head as she does art projects.  For each egg she had a very specific vision for each egg she decorated.

Also, I don’t remember Easter eggs being so complicated growing up. We ended up having to decorate the eggs in shifts because the box of decorations we got had too many accessories and took hours.  Luckily for us, we got them all decorated before the Easter Bunny arrived that night.
Just the beginning.

Wants to be a Fish

It was a great day in the Belitz household when I was told to get out of the pool.  After two weeks of unpleasant swimming lesson experiences the teacher (and myself) felt it was time for Brynn to move on.  The Parent and Me classes were starting to stress me out, as Brynn was just not cooperating.  Now that we have moved her up she is jumping into the pool, floating on her back, and swimming a few feet without assistance.  An added bonus for me is that I don’t have to get wet.  I just sit on the sidelines taking pictures and cheering her on.  It is a win-win for all!!

Just relaxing.
